The Sweetest Taboo: LBTQ Sexual Health Research
In 2024, Tamùkke conducted pioneering research into the sexual health experiences of lesbian, bisexual, trans, and queer female-identified Guyanese. "The Sweetest Taboo" documents critical gaps in sex education access, the impact of stigma on healthcare seeking, and the urgent need for inclusive sexual health resources in Guyana. Based on interviews with 28 LBTQ women across eight regions, this report centers voices systematically excluded from sexual health conversations and provides evidence-based recommendations for education reform, healthcare provider training, and community-led interventions.
Feminist Budget Analysis
Guyana is in the midst of an unprecedented economic transformation, and how the country spends its growing wealth will shape the lives of its most vulnerable citizens for generations to come. Tamùkke's Feminist Budget Analysis (FBA) of Guyana's 2026 National Budget is an intersectional feminist examination of public expenditure in the health and environmental sectors — asking not just how much is being spent, but who benefits, who is left out, and whose needs remain invisible within fiscal decision-making. Drawing on principles of gender-responsive budgeting, feminist political economy and Caribbean feminist scholarship, the FBA analyses how allocations across health, reproductive services, environmental governance and climate resilience interact with existing inequalities across gender, geography, ethnicity and social identity.
